The Council recently published “Recommendations for Rhode Island’s Food System 2023-2030: A briefing book for candidates for elected offices in Rhode Island” to inform policy makers, officials, and other stakeholders of current priority areas and policy decision considerations. The document reflects the past year of food system stakeholders’ voices and lays solutions aligned with the state food strategy, Relish Rhody.
RIFPC is happy to meet with candidates to discuss these recommendations. Please contact us to schedule a meeting by emailing info@rifoodcouncil.org. We also encourage candidates to talk with other Rhode Island food system organizations in their districts, to learn about their specific needs and priorities.
