On September 20, RIFPC launched the Policy for the People series: 2022 RI Legislative review.
More than sixty attendees joined the free event virtually, listening to a high-level summary of session outcomes as they related to RI’s food system, learning about the content and usability of RIFPC’s Bill Tracker resource, taking a look ahead to 2023 legislation, and hearing from a panel of RIFPC Work Group leaders about “on the ground” actions toward making policy changes that support RIFPC’s annual priorities.
Special thanks to Steven Arthurs, Raul Figueroa, Dawn King, Diane Lynch, and Vernon Martin II for leading the discussion and sharing your expertise at this session.
Policy for the People is a 3-part, virtual event series that educates Rhode Islanders about the status of legislation related to RI’s food system and how policy can impact changes, how to advocate for good food policy in Rhode Island, and about the impacts that federal food system-related legislation can have on Rhode Island.
