Program Description
Statement of Impact
This organization directly feeds those who need it most, particularly the food-insecure population in Rhode Island.
Statement of Changes
This program helps connect food with vulnerable populations throughout Rhode Island with two main locations in Rumford and Providence. FeedRI partners with schools to distribute food to children, something that is crucial, especially during summer months when children don’t receive school-provided breakfast and lunches. It began a pilot partnership with West Warwick Library, in a program called Read and Feed designed to provide people with high-quality food in West Warwick.
Future Plans
Over the next few years, FeedRI is planning to expand its operations to serve more food pantries throughout the state and increase its partnerships with libraries and schools in the state.
