Maggie has over 30 years’ experience in the food industry, including restaurants and hospitality businesses, farms and aquaculture operations, food manufacturing, the value-added production sector, and CPG brands. She knows what is necessary to keep a food business going. As Program Manager for the Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program, she helps partners link farmers with training, individual support, and opportunities to access capital. At RIFPC, she brings together farmers, business advisors, community organizations, and public agencies to turn their common objectives into practical programs.
Maggie is also the Food Systems, Restaurant, and Hospitality Business Advisor at the Rhode Island Small Business Development Center, and together with her consulting practice, Platinum Sardine, she has worked with over 300 food entrepreneurs on pricing, costs, cash flow, operations, and growth, helping them get ready for funding.
She has recently joined the Feed RI board and is excited to support their work to improve access to food across Rhode Island.
