Policy for the People: Farm Bill 101

On November 15, RIFPC hosted the third and final session of the Policy for the People virtual lunch and learn series.

More than sixty attendees joined experts from the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition and the Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Working Group to learn about what the history and function of the Farm Bill, what it covers and what it doesn’t, where legislators are in the planning process, it’s potential impacts on Rhode Island, and how to engage in advocacy that will influence change.

Special thanks to NSAC‘s Lindsey Farrell and NESAWG‘s Nicole Sugarman for leading the discussion and sharing your expertise at this session.
